Lexi Shackleton is an Austin-based painter who abstracts the glory of the natural world. Her work hovers between representation and expression, inviting viewers to feel nature rather than simply see it.

Lexi graduated with a BFA focusing in graphic design and painting from Baylor University and studied abroad at the University of the Arts in Florence, Italy. She worked in the design field for 15 years while painting just for herself in her spare time. After becoming a mother, she found herself gravitating more and more toward her love of painting and, has since, fully immersed herself.
Taking inspiration from the beauty of God’s creation, Lexi aims to evoke emotion in her paintings that she hopes to infinitely bless her collectors and their homes. Although classically trained, she tries to push the boundaries of color in her landscapes in order to further abstract them.
Lexi currently lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, Steve, and two children Luca and Maeve. She loves to bake, make crafts, and tend the family garden with her kids. And of course, get out in nature every chance she gets!
